The Story of Amram Abraham
Our story begins in 1978, shortly after the start of Operation Litani — IDF soldier Avraham Amram was captured in Lebanon by members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine – General Command. For a full year he was held in captivity by PLO and Ahmad Jibril’s organizations. During the days he spent in complete isolation in a dark room with no connection to the outside world, Avraham maintained his sanity by raising and caring for birds that found their way to his cell. This gave rise to the famous bird logo that accompanies the company he founded, which operates throughout the country and continues his unique legacy. Eventually, the soldier who survived captivity returned to Israel in a prisoner exchange deal and became a well-known contractor in the Hadera area.
The company, which began with private construction projects in the Hadera area, grew and evolved into a force for realizing dreams and shaping communities across Israel – with thousands of housing units, innovative projects and urban renewal initiatives that combine quality of life, family values, and a green future.
